Terms of Service
Last updated 30 October 2026
By using Vigil you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Authorised use only
You may only scan websites that you own or have explicit permission to test. Scanning systems you are not authorised to test may be illegal. You are responsible for your use of Vigil and for acting on its findings.
No warranty
Vigil reports common, externally detectable issues. It is a helpful signal, not a guarantee of security or a substitute for a professional audit. A clean report does not mean your app has no vulnerabilities. We provide the service "as is".
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vigil is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for issues it did not detect. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.
Subscriptions
Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account. Paid plans include a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Acceptable use
- No scanning of third-party sites without authorisation.
- No attempts to overload, abuse or reverse-engineer the service.
- No automated scraping of the product outside our API terms.
